LGBTQ+ at Z Energy

We encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work each and everyday and see our Rainbow whānau as a key group within that.

We are proud to fly the rainbow flag and our aim is to continually look at ways we can improve Z for Rainbow employees.

In 2018, Z became the first fuel retailer (and only 3rd Energy company) in New Zealand to achieve the Rainbow Tick and remains it to this day. We have made great strides in promoting what it means to be a Rainbow Tick accredited organisation, sharing stories, implementing new policies, and being publicly visible in supporting the community through our sponsorships and assistance. This includes Wellington Pride, Inside Out, Rainbow Charitable Trust, Rainbow Excellence Awards and offering advice/supporting other organisations embarking on their Rainbow Tick journey.

We have an active Z Rainbow Network, an employee network for those wishing to be visible leaders within the business on Rainbow, whether they self-identify or are allies.
