Our People

Our people are not only all unique, we’re also in a bunch of different roles across Z. The common denominator, however, is that we’re all passionate about what we do! We work hard to reach our goals, and we have fun along the way.

Recruitment Process

After applications close, we will review them and be in touch with an outcome.

For our successful candidates, we will invite you to have an initial conversation and complete psychometric testing. Psychometric testing looks at both your abilities and working styles and preferences.

From there, in August we will bring a group of candidates to our head office, the Z Shed on Wellington's beautiful waterfront for an interview and assessment day. You will meet with members of our People & Culture team, some of our Senior Leaders, Executive team and Graduate mentors.
This day will include an interview and practical team exercises.

Following this we will make you an offer to join us and complete the last couple of checks (references and a background check).

Before you start at Z we will take you through our online onboarding process and stay connected with you through email, phone and in person connection.

Being a graduate at Z will see you supported within a cohort of early in career Z’ers, you will rotate across various business units over the two-year program gaining broad exposure and a diverse skill set. You will be paired up with a buddy, have access to a Mentor as well as enjoy time with our Senior Leaders.
