Ten years after its inception, the company had its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2004, the firm moved its headquarters to Freemont. In 2016, Tableau announced its plans to establish an auxiliary campus in Kirkland, Washington. That same year, Adam Selipsky succeeded Christian Chabot, one of the co-founders, as CEO of the firm. The following year in March, Tableau finished the construction of a new building in Wallingford for its headquarters.
