Culture at Transpower

8.8
8.8 rating for Culture, based on 14 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
People in the office are generally very friendly, and there are opportunities to socialise with people outside of work.

Excellent culture with many clubs, activities, and an excellent young professionals group. The Wellington office definitely has the most variety but all offices are pretty good. In terms of work culture, everyone is always happy to explain things or spend their time making sure you are up to speed. It's a great culture both in the office and after hours.

The culture is of casual efficiency and support. Everyone is willing to bend over backwards to help, especially to tackle a particularly stimulating challenge. Work is kept within work hours, and there is no shortage of after-hours events being organised by clubs and communities.

Lot's of good events. And there is a yo-pro community which is really fun and does some good social events and every one is really welcoming

after hours can be dull, but good events and stuff during work hours

Great social events and number of opportunities to get to know other colleagues, be it just morning tea in the team or overall company event such as Diwali or mental health week.

Socialising in this company is a breeze. There are plenty of yo-pro activities, and plenty of chances to mingle. In the graduate programme especially, the grads are pretty close to one another and we often have after hours activities such as casual drinks, sports hobbies or etc. We also have casual sports teams (I am a part of casual netball indoor sport) available. In-office culture is pretty good as well. Of course, this varies from team to team, but for the two teams I have been in so far, it has been a blast. Cooperation and teamwork between colleagues are good most of the time. There are conflicts sometimes (like every org) but that typically doesn't happen.

Team collaboration is valued, and it allows interaction among cross functional teams.
